Classical Education in Early Childhood - an Overall Look

Classical education for Early Childhood Stage (roughly two- through six-year-olds) recognizes and capitalizes on the fundamentals of the first years of childhood: games, imagination and imitation, and discovery.

As our youngest students slowly open the doors of the world around them, they learn, under our masters’ guidance, to imagine, share, and craft, while developing their language, along with their spiritual, physical, and intellectual abilities. Freely playing, reading aloud, singing, moving, utilizing manipulatives and building proper affinities, drawing and painting, and admiring beautiful and meaningful art and pieces of music are the natural educational vehicles at this age.

In their first years of life, set children on the way they should go when they are adults

“If good precepts are impressed on the soul while it is yet tender, no man will be able to destroy them when they have set firm, even as does a waxen seal.” —Saint John Chrysostom
Proverbs 22:6 teaches Paideia Classical News
"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it."
